Our Mom, Louise (Palmano) Alessandrini, after a long and wonderful life, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

She was born in Utica, May 23, 1916, a daughter of the late John and Giovanna (Rugo) Palmano. She was educated in local schools. At one time Louise was married to Gino Alessandrini, who passed away in 1987. Mrs. Alessandrini was a clerical worker at the Teamster?s Union Local #182 for over twenty years.

She is survived by her daughter, C. Joan Gerardi of Utica; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Roseann Alessandrini of Schuyler; and her daughter, Carol L. Murine of Oriskany; son-in-law, Daniel Rodahan of Utica; also her beloved grandchildren, Joseph and Laurie Gerardi, Jill Richards, Jane and Rocco Femia, Jeffrey and Linda Gerardi, Jay and Cristina Gerardi, John and Judy Gerardi, Rob and Stacy Alessandrini, Regina Alessandrini, Russell and Christine Alessandrini, Renee Alessandrini, Rosetta and Michael Emma, Roxanne and Alfonse Nitti, Rebecca Snyder, Rochelle Murine and Bob Thomas, and Rhonda and Tom Zdanowicz; thirty-two great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Doris Palmano; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Anita Rodahan; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mario and Rose Palmano and Santo Palmano.

Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St. in Utica.

Our family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to her Doctors, Sisters and Staff of the St. Joseph Nursing Home for the loving care shown to our Mom during her stay there.

To my Dearest Uncle Bob, Aunt Ro, my special cousins and all of Louise's family..Our deepest sympathy to all of you in the passing of your mother & grandmother. It's never easy to loose a loved one but as you know she is now resting in peace and will be watching over all of you. May the beautiful memories of her live forever in your hearts.
