Mansfield Osborn

Mr. Mansfield “Joseph” Osborn, 73, of the Szczygiel Home of Upstate Cerebral Palsy and formerly of the DSO IRA 1 of Rome, passed away on February 26, 2010 in Faxton St. Lukes Healthcare.

Joseph was born in Syracuse, November 8, 1936, a son of the late Harold and Helen Brown Osborn. He was a member of the Walsh Day Hab program in Rome.

Joe had a great passion for coffee and cigarettes. He always enjoyed outings in the community and loved to read National Geographic and other magazines. Joe also cherished moments of solitude where he could relax and listen to music.

Joe is survived by two brothers, George of Louisiana and Albert of Georgia; his families at DSO IRA 1 in Rome and the Szczygiel Home of UCP in Utica; and a special advocate and friend, Glenda Cullop.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. with his funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St. in Utica. Interment will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Inc.
