Mr. Paul A. Mazzatti, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Masonic Care Community.
Paul was born in Utica, June 16, 1918, the youngest of six brothers and two sisters of the late Augustine and Anna (Mazza) Mazzatti. He was educated in local schools and served in the US Army during WWII in Normandy and Northern France.
Mr. Mazzatti was employed for over twenty years as a clerk for the NY Central Railroad. He also was also a driver for his own local delivery service and for the Oneida County Office of the Aging.
He is survived by two sons, David Mazzatti, and Michael and Carolyn Mazzatti; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Mazzatti; four grandchildren, Dana Madonia, Dawn Mazzatti, Michelle Stevens, and Sean Mazzatti; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Joseph Madonia; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two beloved sons, Paul Jr. and Anthony Mazzatti; his beloved Marion; five brothers, Joseph, Sebastian, Frank, Louie, and Anthony Mazzatti; and two sisters, Theresa Mazzatti and Carmella Mancuso.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes there will be no calling hours and private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff, especially his first nurse, Jean TenEyck, of the Masonic Care Community, and the Manhattan Neighborhood, where they lovingly cared for Paul and considered him the “Mayor of Manhattan”.
Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home of Utica. |

David,
Sorry to learn of your Fathers's passing. I remember him fondly from our early days of childhood - he was friendly and had a great smile with a glint in his eyes. May the Lord bring you and yours comfort. Best regards, Dan

Very sorry for your loss. Uncle Paul was my great, great uncle. He is an uncle to my grandfather, Thomas Mazzatti. He and your family will be in our prayers! Sincerely, Christina Mazzatti & Family

Definitely sounds like you got the beettr deal there! Some of the toys are absolutely awesome. I was looking at some of the new toys they have in the current collection, and there's some neat ones. I think I may have to get a case of them (or two).
