Matt Funeral Service, Inc. has always been a
family owned and operated business.
Anthony F. Matt has continued the quality services and traditions
started by his grandfather, Anthony F. Matt and father, John
L. Matt, Sr.
A longtime member of the National Funeral Directors Association,
The Matt Funeral Home is also a member of the NY State Funeral
Directors Association, as well as the Tri-County Funeral Directors
Association. Anthony "Tony" Matt, licensed Funeral
Director and owner has operated the funeral home for over 30
years. Families have placed their trust in him for the care
of their loved ones.
Anthony and his sister, Maria (Matt) Zegarelli were instrumental
in establishing the first funeral home sponsored bereavement
group "Pathways Support Group" in our area over 15
years ago. This bereavement support group facilitated by Lisa
Talarico Edic, meets monthly and is open to all that have suffered
the loss of a loved one.
Anthony has helped to serve the community as a longtime board
member of the East Utica Senior Day Center and Crown Hill Memorial
Park. He also is a member of many area organizations including
the, East Utica Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club, Knights of Columbus,
and its' 4th Degree, Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce and Sons
of Italy.
Anthony has been married for over 20 years to Kimberly L. (Roy)
Matt who also works in the family business. The couple has two
sons, Anthony F. Matt, III and Dominic A. Matt who are both
students at Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School.
Anthony takes great pride in his family and continuing to serve
the community with the tradition and heritage passed down by
his parents, John and Jean Matt and grandparents, Anthony and
Lena Matt. |
