He started playing soccer with AYSO at the age of 4 and played through his teen years for various clubs and his high school. Besides soccer, Adi was very creative. He graduated from OMC BOCES with a certificate in graphic design. He enjoyed music and art.

At the age of 16, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, from which he never recovered, physically or emotionally.

Adi attended Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school through grade 4 and then transferred to the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill school district, where he graduated in 2019.

He is survived by his mother, Dianna Nolan, of Westmoreland; his father, Amel Dedic, of Utica; a younger brother, Alen Dedic, of Westmoreland; his maternal grandparents, Susan Nolan, of Clay and Francis Nolan, of Utica; his paternal grandparents, Smail Dedic and Mesuda Dedic, both of Utica; two uncles, Armin Dedic and Frank Nolan, both of Utica; a cousin, Amir Dedic, of Utica; and longtime family friend, Zanin Karaca. He also leaves numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends, including his best friend, Frank Mendoza and special friend, Katrina Ridgeway.

He is predeceased by his great grandparents, Antoinette “Nana” and Leonard Nolan, Joan  and Carl Lawson, and Sefija Hadzic; and a great uncle, William Nolan.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oneida Healthcare for their compassion and Jordan Henderson for being Adi’s friend and confidant.
