Allan A. Shook

Mr. Allan A. Shook, 90, passed away with his loved ones by his side on Monday, July 5th, 2021 at  St. Luke’s HealthCare.

Allan was born in Kantara, Lebanon on August 8th, 1930, the son of the late Hamed and Fatme’ Shook.  He came to this country at the age of 3 and became a U.S. citizen in 1951.  He was educated in local schools.

On November 2nd, 1951, he was joined in marriage to Olive M. Calhoun and they shared 64 loving years together until her passing on May 1st, 2016.

Allan was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corp. in January 1950.  He retired as Captain with the civilian police force at Griffiss Air Force Base after 35 years.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Allan is survived by his 3 cherished daughters, Diana and Richard Cavoli, Linda Shook, and Kathy Beach and her fiance’ Tom Sheehy.  Allan is also survived by his 2 beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Beach and her significant other Joe Miller, and Richard Cavoli Jr.  He also leaves his great-grandson Aiden Lyke, who was such a blessing to him and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  Allan was predeceased by his siblings.

In keeping with Allan’s wishes there will be no visitation or calling hours.
