Mrs. Angela (Camardo) Brooks, 80, went to join her Momma and her God, with her loving and devoted husband by her side, January 15, 2023, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.
Angela was born August 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Leonard and Angeline (Serio) Camardo. She was educated locally and graduated from the former Utica College with a bachelor’s degree. Angela was a well-loved math teacher and department head in the Utica City School District, for thirty-seven years, until she retired in 2002 to care for her mom.
On August 14, 1971, Angela was married to Jim Brooks, in St. Anthony’s Church in Utica. The couple have been inseparable and shared a loving and devoted marriage filled with laughter for over 52 years.
A strong willed, loving, caring woman, Angela was a devoted, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who always put the welfare of others before her own. Her family was always her top priority. Family and friends know she never missed sending a beautiful holiday card, not only at Christmas, but at Thanksgiving as well.
Angela will be truly missed by her beloved husband, Jim; brothers, Nicholas and Tammy Camardo of VA, and Tony Camardo of Sylvan Beach, NY; nieces, Alyssa Camardo (“sweet pea”), Julia Camardo of GA, and her favorite nephew, Anthony Camardo (Ant) of Whitesboro; as well as, very special family friends, Frank Calaprice, Jan and Dr. Bob Coffin, and her Godchild, Martha Montana.
Angela’s family honored her privately and she was laid to rest in Calvary Mausoleum.
Any donations in her name may be made to your chosen charity.
