Angela M. “Dee Dee” LoConti, 79, passed away, with the love of her family in her heart, Monday, December 12, 2022, at Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Dee Dee was born in Utica, August 4, 1943, a daughter of the late Daniel and Antoinette “Toni” (Tringo) LoConti. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of Utica Free Academy.
Always the free spirit, she was a child of the 60’s; spending some of that time in the California scene, before coming back home to Utica. Dee Dee worked as a claims adjuster for the Teamsters for many years. She danced to the beat of her own drum and did so throughout her life. Dee Dee loved spending time at Turning Stone and enjoyed playing her daily numbers at Byrne Dairy. Her core group of lifelong friends remained close, whether going to lunch, having a dish of macaroni at her house or weekly hour long phone calls. These friends were family and they shared a lifetime of memories.
Above all else, she loved being with family, especially her grandchildren and her pride and joy, great granddaughter, Emma. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Tim Deming of Whitesboro; beloved grandson, Christopher LoConti and his girlfriend, Ash Woods; granddaughter, Elise Bentley and her husband, Aaron; and of course the apple of her eye, Emma Bentley; also her aunt, Maryann “Sheppy” Carucci; and many, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Antoinette “Toni girl” Manfredo; brothers, Daniel “Dannyboy” LoConti and Chester LoConti; and nephews, Nick Manfredo and John Manfredo.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 4 to 6 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica, followed by a closing prayer. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and a special thank you to Dr. Girshab, for his care and compassion.
