Angeline Coiro Obituary

Angeline M. (LoGalbo) Coiro, 97, passed away surrounded by the love of her son and daughter-in-law, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Sycamore House of Sitrin Healthcare.

Angeline was born in Utica, April 7, 1923, a daughter of the late Philip and Angeline (Paladino) LoGalbo. She was educated locally. On October 25, 1947, Angeline was joined in marriage to Felix Coiro. Felix and Angie had been inseparable, and you rarely saw one without the other for over sixty-two years, until Felix passed away on November 1, 2009.

Angie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, with a heart of gold, who is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Janice Lee Coiro, of Toms River, NJ; and her much loved grandchildren, Damon and Dr. Victoria (Santiago) Coiro, Charlotte, NC and Devon and Erik Naglee, Greensboro, NC; great grandchildren, Owen, Carson, Dawson, and Hudson Naglee; a special niece, Guyline and Jim Humphries, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Dominick, Carl, Philip, and Sam LoGalbo; and her sisters, Anna Matti, Frances Loiero, and Victoria Alati.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Sycamore House of Sitrin Healthcare, especially, Lisa Lenehan, for all their care and attention shown to Angie; a special thank you to Maggie Giocovelli, who we consider family; also much appreciation to Brenda Cobane, VP of Long Term Care Services at Sitrin, for all her help and attentiveness; and to Mary Dowd, who was of great assistance to Angie when she lived at Cedarbrook.

Angie will be privately laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Felix, in Calvary Mausoleum. Her mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish, at a later date, when it is safe to be together.

During these trying times, a message of sympathy on our website, is of great comfort to the family.

In memory of Angie, please consider donations to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish at 648 Jay St., Utica, NY 13501
