Anthony Frank Martin, 76, passed away at home, with his loved ones by his side, Sunday, July, 10, 2022.
Tony was born in Utica, January 30, 1946, a son of the late Frederick D. and Angeline J. (Saldarelli) Martin. He was raised and educated locally and a graduate of Oriskany Central High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
On May 26, 1973, Tony was joined in marriage to Sharon Zaleski; and they have shared over forty-nine loving years of marriage, living and raising their family in Oriskany.
He was employed as a Mason-Plasterer at the Oneida Correctional Facility for over thirty years.
A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Jodie and David George, and Audrey and Nathan Douglass; grandchildren, David and Anthony George, and William, Belle, and Jameson Douglass; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and James Kernan; and also several nieces, nephews, and friends.
His Mass of Christian Burial, with Military Honors, will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Parish. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica.
