Mr. Anthony J. “Tony” Rosati, 86, passed away peacefully with the love of his family in his heart, on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare of MVHS.
Anthony was born on May 4, 1934, son of the late Anthony and Giovanna (Curto) Rosati. Educated locally, Tony was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On July 9, 1955, he was joined in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Vaeth. Tony and Mary have been blessed with 65 years of marriage which displayed true love and commitment. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Tony lived his life passion by caring and providing for his wife and family.
Tony’s early employment began with the New York Central Railroad, followed by Computer Engineering work at various local companies including MDS, ICL and General Electric. His expertise in the field of Computer Engineering led him to unique consulting opportunities. These opportunities enabled him to travel internationally as a consultant.
After retirement, his hobbies included making delicious homemade wine (Rosati red), fishing at his summer home on Lake Moraine, and spending time with his beloved family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his four children, son, Anthony G. Rosati and Dawn Michaud of Schuyler, daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Rick Policastro, of Syracuse, son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Tracy Rosati, of Westmoreland and daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Dominick Crocilla, of Whitesboro; nine grandchildren, Anthony Rosati, Ricky Rosati, Richard Policastro, Joelle and Nick Hanson, Kimberly and Kyle Dembrow, Kaitlyn Rosati, Whitney Rosati, Dominick Crocilla II and Christian Crocilla; six great grandchildren, Skylar Rosati, Hope Rosati, Erin Rosati, Julian Hanson, Dominic Hanson and Claire Dembrow; brother and two sisters-in-law, Rocco and Dolores Rosati and Priscilla Rosati; and brother-in-law, Billy Stamboly; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Enzo Rosati; and three sisters, Alice Delitto, Mary Altieri and Adeline Stamboly.
