Antoinette M. "Toni Girl" (Troia LoConti) Manfredo, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Toni was born in Utica on August 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Anthony "Tony" and Antoinette "Toni" (Tringo) Troia. Her father died before she was born, and her mother later was joined in marriage to Daniel "Danny" LoConti, who raised her. Antoinette was educated in Utica schools. She was employed as a claims processor for twenty years with the New York State Teamster's Health and Hospital Fund. On October 7, 1961, Toni was joined in marriage to Dominick "Pete" Manfredo. Her beloved Pete passed away on October 22, 2006. Toni and Pete shared forty-five loving years together and dedicated their lives to raising and caring for their family; especially their son, John. Both were an inspiration to many and their legacy of caring and family values will be carried on by their children and their families. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim Marie and Jim Nicewicz, of Sauquoit; two sons, Dominick "Nick" Manfredo, Jr. and Camille Scampone, and John T. Manfredo, all of Utica; grandchildren, Kathryn and Kristen Nicewicz, and grandchildren, Melissa and Dominick Manfredo, and their mother, Linda Manfredo; one sister, Angela "DeeDee" LoConti; one brother, Chester LoConti; her aunt, Maryann "Sheppy" Carucci; uncle, Dick Manfredo; a sister-in-law, Noreen LoConti; and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins; with special mention of her niece, Gloria LoConti, with whom she shared a special bond. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Daniel "Dannyboy" LoConti. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., at Historic Old St. Johns Church. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica. A special thanks to her lifelong friends: Joanne, Louise, Tessie, and Janet, for always being there for Toni and Johnny, and also so many other family and friends, too numerous to mention.
