Bienvenida “Tina” Ayuso
Rome, NY: Bienvenida “Tina” Ayuso, 61, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, June 22, 2020.
Bienvenida was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on November 25, 1958, a daughter of the late Pilar Geigel and Lydia Ayuso. She came to this country in 1969 with her family and lived in Utica until her recent move to Rome, NY
Tina was a party animal, who lived her life to the fullest right to the end. She was the center of attention wherever she went. She loved to dance and always opened her door to everyone. She will be missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Jose Ayuso and Betsy Loughlin and Miguel and Monica Washington; grandchildren, Jose Brown, Zeanna Ayuso, Isaiah Loughlin-Ayuso, Miguel Washington, Gabriella Brindisi, Audrianna Pavia and Richard Pavia; brothers, Rinardo Sanchez, Juan Geigel, Pilar Ayuso Jr., Edwin Ayuso, Juan Tito Ayuso and Israel Rosato; sisters, Carmen Ayuso and Sante Ayuso; an aunt, Ernesta Ayuso; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, especially acknowledging her niece, Maria (Lisa) Hansome, for all of her care and endless love shared with Tina.
She was predeceased by her parents, Pilar and Lydia; a brother, Angel Geigel and a sister, Aurera Geigel.
Due to the current health concerns and keeping within CDC guidelines, Tina's family honored her privately and she will be laid to rest with her loved ones at Calvary Cemetery. During this challenging time for our country and community, we urge family and friends to leave a message of sympathy which will be a great source of comfort to the family.
