Mr. Charles F. Papelino, 80, passed away unexpectedly, at his home, Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Charlie was born in Utica, February 13, 1941, one of four sons to the late Rocco and Geraldine (Lucas) Papelino. He was educated in local schools and a 1959 graduate of TR Proctor High School. Upon graduation, he served as an Army Medic, at Burns Hospital, in San Antonio , TX.
On May 20, 1967, Charlie was joined in marriage to the former Annette Abriola. They have shared over fifty-four loving years of marriage.
Charles was an auto body repairman, who owned and operated Twin Cities Collison, in Utica, for over fifty-six years. A very astute businessman, he was a real estate entrepreneur, who owned several properties in the Utica area.
Charlie had a love for automobiles and was an honorary member of the Mohawk Valley Car Club and a member of the Proctor Boys monthly social gathering.
Above anything else, Charlie loved spending time with his family, and especially enjoying traveling with his wife. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannine and Dr. Keith Johnson; daughter, Charlene Benjamin; beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Luke Benjamin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank and Shirley Papelino, Las Vegas, NV, and Joseph Papelino; in-laws, Frank Abriola, and Dr. Ronald and Angela Pedalino, Springboro, OH; and also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, especially, George Purpura. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Thomas Benjamin; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Minerva Papelino; his mother in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Abriola; and his longtime friend, Ted Chmielewski.
He will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of his family.
