Congetta "Connie" (Sessa) Lombardo

Mrs. Connie (Sessa) Lombardo, 97, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 12, 2023, at The Masonic Care Community.

Connie was born in Utica, January 10, 1926, a daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Chancia) Sessa. She was educated in local schools. On September 17, 1949, Connie was joined in marriage to Carmen G. Lombardo. Connie and Carmen enjoyed a very close and loving marriage for almost sixty-two years until her beloved Carmen passed away on September 10, 2011.

Connie was employed for many years, as a sales lady, at The Shoebox in the New Hartford Shopping Center; her affable personality made her a favorite among her co-workers and customers.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gerard and Susanne Sessa; nieces and nephews, Jacquie and Richard Reile, Gerard Jr. and Carol Sessa,  John Sessa and Francis and Doreen Dobrzenski; and also many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her nephew, Jeffrey Sessa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, August 17, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Entombment will take place beside her husband at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. The family will greet visitors following mass.
