Corey Richard Eychner, 46, of Utica was called home to his heavenly father unexpectedly on November 10, 2016. Corey was born to Richard and Caroline (Scavone) Eychner on Dec. 5, 1969. Corey loved life to the fullest and his smile and laughter could lift the darkest of days. He enjoyed being a father more than anything in the world. Corey attended Utica Free Academy, where Corey ruled the football field on defense. Corey was a very hard worker at Wal-Mart distribution center as a unloader/supervisor, where he received numerous achievement awards. He earned the name THE GENERAL for his hard work and endless dedication to the company. Prior to that he dedicated many years to asbestos removal. Corey had a very close relationship with his uncle Sammy Scavone until he passed at the age of 59. They loved fishing and playing the ponies together. Corey loved the outdoors and spent every second he could enjoying it. Corey took a strong fatherly taking to Levi and spent many years loving him as his poppie. He enjoyed going to turning stone, where he had numerous friends and family that enjoyed his company. Coreys ultimate gifts were his pride and joy, sons, Noah Eychner and Logan Eychner, and a new grandson, Wyatt. His boys were everything to him. Not a single day passed that he wasn't speaking love and memories over them both. Corey was adored by his friends and family. His passion was his 1992 Thunderbird that he restored. Corey is survived by his parents, Richard and Caroline (Scavone) Eychner; his blessed sons, Noah and Logan; a new grandson, Wyatt; the love of his life and fiancé, Julie Anne Gubbins; a paternal grandmother Irene Eychner; a special cousin, Delilah Scavone-Reynolds and Ashley; his little buddy, Levi Renzi; his maternal aunts, Vicky and Helena Scavone, and Yasmine Marion; uncle, Louis Scavone; paternal aunt, Sandy DeMartine; uncles, David and Dennis Eychner; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Clide Eychner; both maternal grandparents, Samuel and Helen Scavone; his special aunt, Diane Santiago; his beloved uncle, Sammy Scavone; and a cousin, Duamel Michael Scavone.
