Obituary
Utica, NY: Diane Carol (D'Amelio) Lacey, died July 30, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital, in New Hartford.
A lifelong resident of Utica, she was born April 24, 1941, a daughter of the late Frank and Carolyn (Butera) D'Amelio. For 26 years, Diane worked as a long distance operator for NY Telephone, and later, as a cook for Thornberry's.
She was predeceased by her parents and an infant brother, Peter. She is survived by her daughter, Carla (Rick) Bostick; grandchildren, Carolyn, Sarah, and Richard Bostick; sister, Phyllis Summa; special friend, Lynne Mishalanie; a niece, nephews, many cousins, and close friends.
Diane was a wonderful cook and a gifted pianist, who made music come to life. She will be dearly missed.
The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital for the compassionate care shown to Diane.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
