Dominic John Pardi, 77, and Paula Ann Pardi, 75, entered their eternal home with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ this September 2021.
Dick was born in Utica, NY, February 21, 1944, a son of the late Americo “Mac” Pardi and Carmella (Passalacqua) Pardi and the twin brother of the late Frank Pardi. Dick graduated from T.R. Proctor High School, and worked for the N.Y. State Department of Transportation for more than 30 years. After retiring, he was head pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Prospect, NY and an itinerant preacher until his death.
Paula was also born in Utica, July 27, 1946, a daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Tringo) Lazzaro. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. She later attended Beauty school, receiving her Beautician’s license. Paula is survived by her sister, Rosalie Gao; her brother, John Lazzaro; and cousin, Marguerite Dichiera. Along with raising her family, Paula worked out of her home beauty shop for many years.
On Sept. 24, 1966, Paula was joined in marriage to Dominic Pardi at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, in Utica.
A couple of deep faith, they were committed spouses, parents and grandparents who spent the better part of their lives in ministry. They leave behind three sons and daughters in law, Bill and Jodie Pardi, Paul Pardi, and Dominic “Chip” and Pamela Pardi; grandchildren, Addie, Cody, Aidan, Ailee, Ryan and Lauren; as well as, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of the lives of Dickie and Paula will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm at the Mohawk Valley Church on 9427 Maynard Road in Marcy, NY, with a memorial tribute from their family at the conclusion of calling hours at 4 pm. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
