Mrs. Dorothy Eleanor (Mootz) "Pretty Bird" Morgan, 85, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Presbyterian Home. A woman of deep faith, Dorothy was a devoted member of Westminster Moriah Olivet Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon for many years. She was an inspirational person who faced many obstacles in her life and was always able to overcome them. She leaves this legacy to her family and they will always remember her favorite words, "This too shall pass." She is survived by her twin daughters, Sandra Barres and Susan A. Morgan, both of Whitesboro; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Rosemary Morgan of Albany, Russ and Susan R. Morgan of New Hartford, and Frank and Dyckie Morgan of W. Edmeston; one daughter-in-law, Janice Morgan; a sister, Jean LaMunion; 20 grandchildren, Stephen Morgan, Stacey and John Kontos, Joush and Grace Barres, Lindsay and Kyle Kabot, Brittany Barres, Danielle Barres and Brandon Somers, Rusty Morgan, Jeremy and Danielle Morgan, Misty and Kriston Campbell, Kyle and Erika Morgan, Matthew Ingraham, Jordan Ingraham, and Heather Morgan; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Ronald Morgan; two brothers, William and Robert Mootz; and a sister, Helen Kuzio. Relatives and friends may call on Monday (Today) from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.
