Dr. Louis Angelini, 87, passed away, peacefully at his home, with loving family by his side, Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Born in Utica, June 13, 1935, Louis was a son of the late Luigi and Concetta (Zottola) Angelini. He was educated in local schools, graduating from TR Proctor High School, where he excelled in academics, music, and football. He went on to receive a football scholarship to Cornell University; and graduated from Ithaca College, and later received his PhD in music composition from the Eastman School of Music. Louis furthered his studies in music and teaching, throughout the country, eventually retiring from Utica College, where he taught music and composition, for over thirty years.

Louis was joined in marriage to Constance “Connie” Lochner in 1966, and they have shared over fifty-six loving years of marriage.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Marlene Angelini; grandchildren, Harrison Angelini, Mary Angelini, Andrew Derminio, and Abby Derminio; his in-laws, John and Mary Whittle, Rev. Charles and Jeannie Lochner, and Cathy Lochner; and also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Umberto Angelini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, December 9, at 10 a.m., at Historic Old St. Johns Church in Utica. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors following mass.
