Earl Clark, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Earl D. "Dick" Clark, Sr., 70, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Earl was born in Oneonta on June 15, 1946, a son of William and Ruth (Kelsey) Clark. His mother died at a young age and he was raised by his father and stepmother Viola (Bourn) Clark. Earl worked most of his young life on farms in the Frankfort, Madison and Waterville areas and was also well known for scrapping in the Utica area. Earl worked for Human Technology Corporation doing janitorial work for many years. In 1973, Earl was married the former Kathleen F. McConnell; and later shared more than twenty years with Suzette (McCauley) Gillette, until meeting Toni DeRobbio in 2004. Earl was known for being a generous person and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and eating out with his friends. He is survived by his six children, Peggy Sue Clark and William Acker, Connie and Thomas Jordan Sr, Richard Clark and Brenda Farley, Robert Sr. and Suzanne Clark, Nancy and Gary DiFondi, Earl "Dick" Clark Jr. and Cassandra Menard; his longtime companion, Toni DeRobbio; his grandchildren, Corey, Alison, Michael, Caitlynn, Reannon, John Jr., David Sr., Kayla, Thomas Jr., Austin, Robert Jr., Grace, Arianna and Ezekiel John; great grandchildren, David Jr., Lilah, William, Abigail, Elijah, Kathleen and Calla; brothers, Charles, Dennis, William, Robert, Harry and Kevin Clark; sisters, Loretta Camimga, Jean Farr, Ginger Clark, Melissa Kinne and Joy Clark; and also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, David, William, Monty, and Harold Clark. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.
