Elba Gonzalez

Mrs. Elba Gonzalez, 70, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Elba was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico on October 22, 1946, one of seventeen children to Auraquio and Josefa (Santiago) Gonzalez. She was at one time married to Angel L. Mendez, with whom she had her three beloved daughters. Elba came to the Utica area in 2001. She is survived by her three daughters, Elba Mendez of PR, Mayra Rodriguez and Migdalia Mendez, both of Utica, also six grandchildren and many siblings, nieces, and nephews here and in Puerto Rico. There will be a visitation on Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St. at Mohawk St. in Utica. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
