Frank Joseph LoConte, 97, passed away at his home peacefully, on Friday, August 27, 2021.
Frank was born in Utica, August 15, 1924, a son of Rose and Thomas LoConte. He was educated in local schools and attended TR Proctor High School and was a 1942 graduate of Utica Free Academy. Upon graduation, he joined the Army and proudly served as a PFC during World War II.
After his years of service, he married the love of his life, Agnes Mary Talerico on April 24, 1946. They shared love and commitment to each other for over 64 years until her passing on November 7, 2010.
He had a long career as a Master Carpenter and Superintendent with the Mancuso Bros. and Gaetano Construction. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture for his family.
Frank always enjoyed a round of golf or a game of bowling and always watched and cheered for the Yankees.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his three children, and their spouses, Thomas and Carol LoConte, of Sherrill, Linda and Dan Anderson, of Rochester and Anthony and Lisa Ann LoConte, of Whitesboro; his adored grandchildren, Kiersten and Peter Klem IV, Shawna and Gianni Vitale, Eric and Emelin Anderson, and Noah A. LoConte; great granddaughter, Vita Agnes Vitale; one sister-in-law, Theresa Pitrel; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Lucretia and Bernard Carcone, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gaetana and Leonard Talerico; brothers-in-law, Frank, Joseph, Salvatore, Jimmy and Tony Talerico; sisters-in-law, Mary Talerico and Bettina Grande; best friend and brother-in-law, Dominick “Dick” Pitrel.
His Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4 to 6 pm at the Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.
