Gisele "Gigi" DiNardo Obituary

Ms. Gisele “GiGi” Marie DiNardo, passed away with loved ones by her side, June 6, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.

Gisele was born July 25, 1958, in Rome, NY, a daughter of the late Francis DiNardo and Thea (Elias) DiNardo. She was raised and educated locally and a graduate of Oriskany High School. Gisele later went on to attend Utica University, where she received a Bachelors Degree as a respiratory therapist.

After receiving her degree, Gisele moved to Highland Beach, FL, where she lived and worked as a esthetician, cosmetologist, and business owner, for almost thirty years. Gisele enjoyed working alongside her brother and sister, Darlene and Kurt DiNardo, at their studio, DiNardo and Co. Inc., in Boca Raton. She later owned a salon in Palm Beach, FL, DA-KA Beauty Salon, which catered to wealthy clientele. At one time, Gigi worked with her brother and sister at Limelight Records, which at the time was the largest recording studio, where they were very proud to work on a catalog of music which won three Grammy’s and song of the year. They also had the honor of working together at the largest tele production center, under one roof in America, which also had a second location in California, where they filmed and televised movies, MTV music videos of artists like Gloria Estefan and many other artists, and is now known as Telemundo. She later moved back to Marcy and worked at the Lodge at Turning Stone Casino as their head Esthetician.

Gisele was a bright vibrant person who brought energy into every room she entered. She did everything for her family and always showed love to those who mattered to her most. She was highly intelligent from a young age and always being creative and thinking outside the box. Gisele was one of the first in the area to utilize a hydroponic system, to sustain a garden, which even drew attention from those at Colgate College, where they would reach out to her in order to learn about how they could better use their systems.

Gisele is survived by her beloved mother, Theodora “Thea” DiNardo; sisters and brother-in-law, Debra DiNardo, and Darlene and Edward Swindell; brothers, Francis T. DiNardo and Kurt D. DiNardo; nephew and niece, Marc and Gina DiNardo; and great nieces and great nephew, Brianna DiNardo, Marc DiNardo Jr., and Jennacita DiNardo. She was predeceased by her father, Francis Joseph DiNardo; and her nephew, Kurt William DiNardo.

Gisele’s family have honored her privately at this time and she will be laid to rest in the family plot in St. John’s Cemetery, in Rome. There will be a Celebration of Life announced at a later date.
