Mrs. Jennifer (LaPaglia) Testa, 64, passed away at home with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Jennifer was born in Utica, on August 3, 1950, a daughter of the late Michael A. and Theresa (Ambrose) LaPaglia. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On May 9, 1970, Jennifer was joined in marriage to Louis Testa Jr. and they had just celebrated their forty-fourth anniversary. Jennifer was a teacher's aide for many years at Hughes School in the Utica City School District and more currently was an admitting receptionist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, retiring in June of 2013. Favorite pastimes included going to the casino accompanied by friends and family; an occasional trip to Atlantic City; and dining at restaurants with her husband. Most important to Jennifer was her family and home, where her loved ones always looked forward to her sauce and meatballs on Sunday. She is survived by her husband, Louie; daughter, Shannon (Testa) Kloster; son, Jeffrey Testa and Mary Diegnan; her beloved grandchildren, Michael Kloster and Alyssa Kloster, sister and brother-in-law, Michele LaPaglia Smith and Garry Smith, many aunts and uncles, especially Anne Brown and her godmother, Antoinette LaPaglia; in-laws, Douglas and Carol Testa, Bob and Cathy Testa, and Joseph Geruntino; godchildren, Kristen Graziano, Michael Testa, and predeceased by godson, Steve Testa; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. There are no calling hours. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home of Utica. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Samir Desai and the nurses of the sixth Floor of St. Luke's Hospital, for their care and compassion during Jennifer's illness; and to Jennifer's special friends, Adana Graziano, Julie Dybacz, Mary Theresa Zupancic, Maryann Thrasher, and Gina Ferguson, for all their loving support during this difficult time.
