Joanne M. Ray

Joanne "Jo" M. Ray passed away at the age of 62 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Utica, Joanne's greatest treasure was her family and friends. She has one daughter, Linda, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Joanne enjoyed life, laughter and being around her closest friends sharing stories. She lived in the moment and found comfort spending time outdoors and reading the bible. She also loved animals and butterflies. Joanne had a heart of gold and showed compassion by giving to others without a second thought. To know her was to love her. A very special thank you goes out to the wonderful and caring nursing staff at St. Luke's Hospital (Allen-Calder Unit) who showed kindness and compassion to Joanne through her illness. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at the convenience of her family and closest friends.
