John Grenicko Jr.

John Charles Grenicko Jr., 44, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

John was born in Utica, March 22, 1978, a son of Mary Bradley and the late John C. Grenicko Sr. He was educated in Herkimer schools, and attended BOCES in Herkimer. John worked for several years in packaging at the ARC in Herkimer.

John was good friend to all and enjoyed Saturday night Bingo, bowling, and loved to go fishing.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Bradley and William Exline Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn Marie and Troy Grenicko; stepsister, Renee Grenicko; nephew, Andrew J. Grenicko; niece, Karlie Grenicko and her fiance, Brenden LeBeau; great niece, Amarah Marie LeBeau; grandmother, Norine V. Gwara; uncle, Robert J. Austin; aunt, Janet Gwara; step grandmother, Grandma Joyce Grenicko; step-siblings; and very good longtime friends, Tom, Linda, Peter, Destiny, Thomas, Maria, Skylar, Shirley and Wayne, and Scottie and his family; and church group good friend, Robert Guyer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, John; grandfather, Andrew Grenicko; grandmother, Rene Burr; aunt, Penny Austin; uncles, Donald and Chester Gwara; great uncle and aunt, Inez and Douglas Ebensperger; and great grandmother, Helen M. Hoage.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica, with interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park, in Clinton.
