John T. Manfredo, 55, entered his eternal home, to join his parents and loved ones, Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Johnny was born in New Hartford, August 23, 1965, a son of the late Dominick“Pete” and Antoinette “Toni Girl” (Troia-LoConti) Manfredo. Johnny attendedWhitesboro School’s Special Needs programs, completing the IndividualizedEducational Plan, an approved course of studies, and BOCES, in June of 1986.
He then went to work for multiple ARC programs for over 20 years. Thank you to Kim Walker for her support and friendship throughout the years.
A very special boy, Johnny brought much joy to his beloved parents, sister, brother and the entire family. He was very entertaining and will always be remembered for his “speeches”, his love of 70s music, his sense of humor and his vast collections of hats and pens. At one point, he had over 3,000 hats in his collection. One of his favorite outings was to The Last Unicorn music store, where he knew exactly what artists he liked and which albums he wanted.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jim Nicewicz; his nieces, Kathryn Nicewicz, Kristen and Nathan Filipponi and Melissa and Joshua Kennedy-Smith; nephew, Dominick and Stephanie Manfredo; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved parents; his brother, Dominick Manfredo; and a special uncle, Daniel “Danny Boy” LoConti.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Johnny’s family will honor him privately and he will be laid to rest with his loved ones at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be held in the future at Historic Old St. John’s Church, when we can all be together. Leaving a message of sympathy on our website is always a great source of comfort to the family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Birch Home of Sitrin Healthcare, for the loving care shown to Johnny during his residence there. In memory of Johnny, please consider donations to Gan Kavod - Birch House at Sitrin.com/Gan Kavod
