Johna Elaine (Sergi) Cutshaw

Johna E. (Sergi) Cutshaw, passed away unexpectedly, at the Wynn Hospital, March 23, 2026, with loving family by her side.

Johna was born in Utica, NY, August 4, 1981, a daughter of John and Elaine (Yero) Sergi. She was raised and educated in Utica and went on to receive a certificate as a Veterinary Tech. On May 30, 2008, Johna was joined in marriage to Christopher Cutshaw, with whom she shared her five children. Although they shared a loving union for many years, their marriage was unfortunately cut short due to Chris’s passing on November 1, 2009.

A beloved mother, Johna raised her five children and instilled many values in them, including the importance of charity work. Johna was always there to lend a helping hand and very proud of her time donated to charity, especially with “Extra Life”, where she was part of a miracle network, working directly beside her children. She was a big fan of the television show, Supernatural, which she blames her son for getting her addicted. A lover of all animals, John worked for several years as a Veterinary Tech and never turned down a stray cat in need.

She is survived by her children, Hunter Cutshaw, Samantha Cutshaw, Hayden Cutshaw and his girlfriend, Loui Say, who Johna loved like a daughter, Dakoda Cutshaw, and Grace Cutshaw; father, John Sergi; siblings, Rochelle Yero, Debbie Moses, and Marie-Elena Sergi; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially including her nieces, Caidence Sergi and Julianna Sergi, who were like children to her. Johna is predeceased by her husband, Christopher Eugene Cutshaw; mother, Elaine Sergi; sister, Leanne Lowery; and uncle, Gordon Sergi.

Johna’s family have honored her privately at this time. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Christopher in St. John Vianney Parish Cemetery in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
