Joseph Ralph Conte

Mr. Joseph Ralph Conte, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 20, 2016. Joe was born in New Hartford on June 12, 1965, a son of Thomas and Rose (Truglio) Conte. He was educated in local schools. Joe was a loyal genuine, all around kind of guy, who cherished his family and friends. He was known as "Uncle Joe" to not only his family, but also to his nieces, nephews, and their friends. There are too many friends to mention, but he had a special place in his heart for many. His most recent cherished moments were spent with some of his closest ones at Pellettieri Joe's on Saturday. He also enjoyed time spent with his good buddy, Dave Morasco. Joe leaves his sisters and their husbands, Sue and James Roberts, Thalia and Dave Hunter, Mary Ann and John Porubic, Annette Conte, and Rose and Marc Myers; two uncles, Tony Truglio and Anthony DelGenis; nieces and nephews, Craig, Nicole, Shannon, Eric, Jeremy, Jessica, Courtney, Frank, Carin, Gee, Antonio, Ivica, Zach, and Steven; and also many great nieces and nephews. He leaves many close cousins, including the Giovinazzo, Basi, DeSarro, Marggi, DelGenis, Giuliano, Conte, Jellencich and Valletto families. He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Rose; grandparents, Frank and Marianna Truglio, and Joseph and Thalia Conte; many aunts and uncles, and a special brother-in-law, Gary Velletto. A special thanks to the Crash brothers and Rich and Jackie Conte, for all their love and support throughout Joe's life. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica.
