Lawrence Leonard

Lawrence Leonard, 48, passed away unexpectedly, September 15, 2023, at MVHS, St. Elizabeth Campus, with loved ones by his side.

Lawrence was born in Utica, July 13, 1975, a son of the late Corr Leonard and Angela Pendolf. He was raised and educated locally and a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On August 4, 2012, Lawrence was joined in marriage to the former Melissa Spaulding. He was a big teddy bear, who loved being with his family. He was a proud member of the Swerve Auto Club and an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.

He is survived by wife, Melissa (Spaulding) Leonard; children, Brianna Mashtare, Angel Barber, and Isabella Barber; grandchildren, Jacvaughn and Julian; brothers and sisters-in-law, Corr and Shashena Leonard, and Donald Schiemer and Anna Wells; sisters, Pam Leonard and Patty Leonard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lawrence’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, 5 to 6 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, corner of Mohawk and Rutger St., Utica.
