Mrs. Lina (Creo) Lutrario, 97, a fifteen year resident of the Masonic Care Community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
Lina was born in Minturno, Italy on February 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Esther (Treglia) Creo. She was raised and educated in Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1952.
She was married to Matteo Lutrario in 1957 and they eventually moved to the US and Utica in 1968 to join their family.
A talented seamstress, Lina was employed for many years at Joseph & Feiss Co, and her sister’s shop Annette’s Bridal Shop. In more recent years she was employed in the laundry room at the Masonic Home.
Lina is survived by her sister Gina Creo, brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel and Elizabeth Creo and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Esther, her brothers, Francesco and Giovanni and “Patsy” Creo and sisters, Pina DeRosa, Sandra Cupolo and Annette Morosco.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian of Burial on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 12 Noon at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of the Masonic Care Community for the loving care shown to Lina these past fifteen years.
