Remsen, NY: Linda Lee (Lynch) McConnell, 73, passed away, with loving family by her side, on Monday, August 10, 2021, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville.
Linda was born in Utica, September 12, 1947, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Sakowski) Lynch. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of Utica Free Academy.
Linda was employed for many years as an LPN at Broadacres Nursing Facility; later retired from Mele Manufacturing, where she was employed as a personal assistant.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially loved cooking for them.
She is survived by her three sons and a daughter-in-law, John DeLorenzo, of Remsen, Ronnie McConnell, of Alder Creek and Jan and Connie McConnell, of Remsen; a brother, Mike Lynch; and also many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph DeLorenzo; a granddaughter, Jeny Laura; and Linda’s husband, Ronald McConnell.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica. Private interment will be in Fairchild Cemetery, Remsen, NY.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Sunset Nursing Home, especially, Dr. Tod Podkowka, all her caregivers and her case worker, Jessica, for the loving care shown to Linda during her stay there.
