Linda (Rosati) Rodeo, 61, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side, August 31, 2025, after her courageous three year long battle with breast cancer came to an end.
Linda was born December 2, 1963, in Utica, a daughter of the late Enzo and Priscilla (Steele) Rosati. She was raised and educated locally and a 1982 graduate of John F. Kennedy High school.
Although the past several years for Linda were tough, due to her illness, she fought the good fight with a smile on her face that only she could muster. No matter how many blows fate delivered to her these past couple of years, she persevered with a smile and a lust for life that was truly an inspiration. She was generous beyond belief, warmer than you could imagine, and more loving than most would ever think they deserve. She was tenacious, her laugh contagious, and her smile truly could turn your day around in a second. She touched so many lives as a loyal friend, but the title she was most proud of was “Mom”.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Hooker and Candace Malone, and Daniel Hooker; grandchildren, Addison and Connor; siblings, Steve and Patricia Rosati, David and Patricia Rosati, and Michael and Lynne Rosati; aunts and uncle, Rocco and Dolores Rosati, and Mary Rosati; beloved pup, Shamus; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends that were a great source of comfort for Linda throughout her years. Linda is predeceased by her daughter, Danielle Hooker and her son, Michael Rodeo.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 7, 2025, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be a service at the end of calling hours with Father James Cesta, officiating. Linda will be laid to rest with her parents in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s memory to the Abraham House. Donation envelopes will be available at calling hours or online at https://www.theabrahamhouse.org/ways-to-support/donate/
