Marlene Papaleo Obituary

Mrs. Marlene R. Papaleo, 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare. She was born in West Exeter, NY, February 8, 1935, daughter of Ernest H. and Agnes Maydole Miller. She graduated from West Winfield Central (Mt. Markam) and MVCC, as a Medical Assistant. She was married at one time to Anthony F. Papaleo, Sr. Marlene was employed in the Utica area for many years, retiring from Price Chopper, Tops Mkts and most recently the Neighborhood Center in the Foster Grandparents program. She was a member of the American Legion Aux, the Forever Young Club and AARP. She was a parishioner of Historic Old St. Johns in Utica. Surviving are her beloved children, daughter, Mary Agnes Papaleo Garramone of Utica and son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Jr. and Cindy Papaleo of Apalachin, NY; six grandchildren, Natalie and Rachelle Garramone of Utica, Anthony R. Papaleo of Utica, Aubre’Lynn Papaleo of Yorkville, and Andrew and Jenna Papaleo of Apalachin; two sisters, Rosemary and Harry Eisenhut of Deansboro and Rosalie and Bob Seelbach of Racine,WI; five brothers, Ernest and Lois Miller of Cedarville, Robert H. Miller of Whitesboro, Gary and Joan Miller of SC, Andrew and Patricia Miller of Ilion and Gregory and Sherry Miller of SC; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; also a very special friend of twenty five years, John F. Noti of Utica. She was predeceased by her parents; her nephew, Robert Seelbach, Jr.; and her sister, Lois (Miller) Varin of Lockport, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am at Historic Old St. Johns Church, Utica. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. In keeping with Marlene’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home of Utica. In memory of Marlene Papaleo please consider donations to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at church.
