Mary (Mott) Chmielewski, 96, passed away, with family by her side, Sunday, August 1, 2021.
Mary was born in Utica, February 5, 1925, a daughter of the late Sam and Philomena (Leone) Mott. On October 9, 1948, Mary was wed to Theodore Chmielewski. The couple was happily married for fifty years until his death on February 28, 1998.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Theodore and Claire, of Clinton, and Frank, of GA; her daughter, Antoinette, of Utica and with whom she resided; grandchildren, Theodore Chmielewski and Matthew Chmielewski, and Catherine “Katie” and Sean Steiger; great grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Stephen Borostyan, of SC; a very special granddaughter-in-law, Anne Thompson; a sister-in-law, Connie Mott; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents; and her husband; as well as, her son, Anthony; and three brothers and one sister-in-law, Joseph and Rose Mott, Frank Mott and Sam Mott.
Her family honored her privately and she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Ted, in Calvary Cemetery.
