Mary Rosati Obituary

Mary Elizabeth (Vaeth) Rosati, 89, passed away with her loving family by her side, in the Masonic Care Community, Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Mary was born in Utica, December 14, 1935, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Sheridan) Vaeth. She was educated in local catholic schools and a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School.

On July 9, 1955, Mary was joined in marriage to Anthony J. “Tony” Rosati. Mary and Tony were blessed with sixty-five years of marriage, filled with love and commitment to each other and their family. Her beloved Tony passed away on January 15, 2021.

Mary stayed at home and was devoted to the care of her family. The happiest times of her life were with family sharing holidays and their many happy days spent at their summer home on Lake Moraine. In later years, after her children were grown, she enjoyed working as a sales lady at the Hallmark Card Store.

She is survived by her four children, Anthony G. Rosati and Dawn Michaud of Schuyler, Marlene and Rick Policastro of Syracuse, Paul and Tracy Rosati of Westmoreland, and Kathleen and Dominick Crocilla of Whitesboro; nine grandchildren, Anthony Rosati, Ricky Rosati, Richard Policastro, Joelle and Nick Hanson, Kimberly and Kyle Dembrow, Kaitlyn Rosati, Whitney Rosati, Dominick Crocilla II, and Christian Crocilla; eight great grandchildren, Skylar Rosati, Hope Rosati, Aaron Rosati, Julian Hanson, Dominic Hanson and Claire Dembrow, Emma Dembrow, and Lily Dembrow; in-laws Rocco and Dolores Rosati; many nieces, nephews, and her best friends of many years, Sue Rzonca and Barbara Mozloom. She is predeceased by her sister, Joan Sheima.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10 a.m., at St. Mark’s Church in North Utica. Private entombment will be beside her husband in Calvary Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Marcelina, for all her help, compassion, and friendship shown to Mary throughout her years. The family would also like to thank her caregivers at Masonic Home, especially in the Monroe Wing, for all the love shown to Mary during her stay.
