Miguelina "Lina" R. Rivera, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Miguelina was born in Adjunta, Puerto Rico on April 9, 1949, a daughter of the late Miguel Rivera DeJesus and Ramona Molina Rivera, where she was raised and educated. As an adult, Lina left Puerto Rico and relocated to New York, first to the Bronx and later the Utica area, where she has since resided. Lina worked at Marcy Psychiatric Center for over five years. She is survived by three daughters, Edith Cardona of Rome, Areli "Pachi" Pagan of Rome, and Crystal Rojas of Utica; four sons, Domigo Rivera of Buffalo, Saul Rivera of Utica, Jesus Rivera of Florida, and David Pagan of Florida; two sisters, Lidia Rivera and Zorida Rivera, both of Puerto Rico; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Lina was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Her funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Thursday at Noon at The Matt Funeral Home, with interment to follow in New Forest Cemetery.
