Mr. Mohamed ElMeir, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, in Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital at the age of 91. Mohamed immigrated to the United States in the 1950's, where he met his beloved Julia Shook. They were joined in marriage in 1959, and spent over forty-six years of loving marriage until 2005, when Julia unexpectedly passed away. Mohamed was a hard worker and spent many years at Mohawk Containers, in New Hartford, from where he retired. One of his greatest passions was deer hunting and skeet shooting. He was a member of the Clinton Fish and Game Club and had a reputation for coming home with a buck every year. Mohamed was a generous person, who was always known for tipping, whether it was the person checking him out of a store or the mechanic working on his car, he always left a tip. He is survived by his son, Nasser; two brothers, Majed and Mourhaf; two sisters, Hadiya and Bascheera; and also many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
