Olive Marie Shook

Mrs. Olive Marie (Calhoun) Shook, 82, passed away with her loved ones by her side on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Olive was born in Utica on October 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Maydole) Calhoun. She was educated in local schools. On November 2, 1951, she was joined in marriage to Allan A. Shook and they have shared over sixty four loving years together. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Allan and her three cherished daughters, Diana and her husband Rich Cavoli, Linda Shook, and Kathy Beach and her fiancé Tom Sheehy. Olive also leaves two beloved grandchildren, Richard Cavoli Jr. and Jennifer Beach and her significant other Joe Miller. Also, her great grandson Aiden James Lyke, who was both a blessing to her and the light of her life. In addition she is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Her family honored her in a private gathering at The Matt Funeral Home, Utica, NY.
