Philip Mancuso, 49, passed away after a six year battle with multiple diseases on Saturday, June 10, 2023, his loving family was by his side.
Phil was born in New Hartford,. NY, on July 21, 1973, a son of Paulette (Sbarra) and the late Samuel Mancuso.
He was raised and educated in Whitesboro and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School.
Phil held several jobs throughout his life, but most recently was a metal cutting inspector at American Alloy in Rome, NY. He retired from there due to illness. On August 25, 2012, Phil was joined in marriage to Michelle (Laliberte-Winn), she was his true soul mate, they were inseparable even during all his outdoor activities and she has been his “Angel”, throughout his illness.
Phil was a true outdoorsman, he lived to hunt, fish, guns, bows, four wheeling he did it all. Above all else he was a lifelong, diehard, rabid and self-proclaimed #1Dolphins fan. He was also an avid Yankees fan. His indomitable spirit and sense of humor will be missed.
A loving husband, father and son, he is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle, his son, Samuel Mancuso, his mom, Paulette Sbarra; his step children, Billy, Jake and Sara Winn; sister and brother in law, Mary Louis and Christian Ostinett; his in-laws, Karen and Andrew Maben, Roger and Susan Laliberte; his uncle, Vincent Sbarra, a special, aunt Patti Henderson; brother in law and sister in law, Shawn and Courtney Laliberte, many nieces and nephews, especially, his Godchild, , Amber Manion, nieces and nephews John Manion, Brielle and Chase Laliberte; also many great nieces, nephews, cousin and devoted and lifelong loving friends, too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by his cousin, Michelle Henderson.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:15 pm at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger Street at Mohawk Street, Utica. There will be a celebration of Phil’s life at 6:15 pm officiated by Father Joseph Salerno. Interment Thursday at St. Agnes Cemetery at 10 am
