Priscilla (Steele) Rosati, 89, passed away with loving family by her side, in the Siegenthaler Center of New Hartford, Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Priscilla was born in Utica, NY, August 29, 1934, a daughter of the late Wesley and Jean (Tulluch) Steele. On June 26, 1954, Priscilla was joined in marriage to Enzo Rosati, with whom she shared over 42 loving years of marriage until Enzo’s passing in 1996.
A loving grandmother, Pricilla was always very active in her grandkids lives and always tried to make all their events, Priscilla was very independent, and a diehard shopper, who enjoyed ceramics, crafting, loved to go on cruises and most of all loved being with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Steven and Patti Rosati, David and Patty Rosati, Linda Rodeo, and Michael and Lynne Rosati; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings-in-law, Rocco and Delores Rosati, Mary Rosati, and Sandy Steele; close friend from Critical Imaging, Mark Infusino; and especially her beloved dog, Tyson.
She is predeceased by her grandchildren, Danielle Hooker and Michael Rodeo; siblings, Jack and Marie Steele, Gerald Steele, Thomas Steele, Wesley Steele Jr., Jack and Shirley Cooney, and Beverly Dell’Anno; siblings-in-law, Adelaine and William Stamboly, Alice and Jim Delitto, Mary and Nicholas Altieri, and Tony Rosati.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 11, 9:00 am to 10:30 am, at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St.,. There will be a service at the end of visitation with Rev. Joseph Salerno, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery of Utica.
The family would like to thank the Hospice and Palliative Care, specifically the Abraham House and the Siegenthaler Center, for their outstanding care and compassion during her stay. They would also like to thank Priscilla’s grandson, Daniel Hooker, for the years of day to day care for his grandmother, from cooking her meals to driving her around to all her appointments.
