Rachael Ermacor Obituary

Mrs. Rachael (Tomaino) Ermacor, 85, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side, on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Rachael was born in Utica, May 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Gigliotti) Tomaino. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On June 16, 1956, Rachael was joined in marriage to Raymond A. Ermacor. Ray and Rachael shared over sixty-one loving and devoted years together raising their beloved children and grandchildren, here in Utica. They spent a lifetime of happy summers at their home on Lake Pleasant, in Speculator. Her beloved Ray, passed away October 8, 2017.

Rachael was employed with Kelly services for many years, predominantly working at Friedrich Heating Co., for most of them.

A very loving mother and devoted grandmother, Rachael is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr.Raymond and Pilar Ermacor, her son-in-law, Ronald Presite; grandchildren, Christine and David Singe, Melissa Presite, Rachael Ermacor, Julia and Corinne Ermacor, John Diehl; great grandchildren, Lucy and Joey Singe; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two beloved daughters, who were always close to her heart, Debbie Presite and Michelle Ermacor; and her sister, Angeline Leone.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. We will be at limited capacity; facemasks covering your nose and mouth, social distancing and registration for tracing will be required. We ask for your patience as we try to accommodate all visitors. Leaving a message of sympathy on our website is always of great comfort to the family.
