Mr. Ralph J. Murine, 72, passed away after a long illness following complications of a stroke on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. He was born in Utica on May 11, 1943, a son of the late Frank and Rose (Garramone) Murine. He was educated in local schools and attended T.R. Proctor High School. At one time, Ralph was married to the former Carol Lee Alessandrini, and from that union he had his three daughters. Ralph was employed as a buyer at Utica Veal for over twenty years; and later he worked as a cattle dealer and operated his own slaughter house, Newport Packing for several years. More recently, he worked in the used auto business on Oriskany Blvd. for several years and also worked in the sanitation business for two years. He is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Rebecca Murine of Taberg, Rochelle Murine of New Hartford, and Rhonda and Tom Zdanowicz of Duanesburg; grandchildren, Karen, Terry (with whom he shared a special bond), Robert and Jecen; one great grandchild, Taj; one sister, Manuella Romeo; one brother, Frank Murine; his goddaughter, Roxanne; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a service celebrating his life on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.
