Richard R. Jeffers

Mr. Richard R. Jeffers, 49, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Richard was born in Utica on July 25, 1967, a son of Gary Jeffers and Joyce (Cryan) Carroll. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jerry Carroll, in Clinton, where he was educated. On July 11, 2000, Rick married the former Camille Carcone. Rick worked construction for Midstate Communications in Oriskany. He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball, and was a fan of Nascar. He is survived by his wife, Camille, of Utica; his children, Tiffany Carcone, Stephanie Carcone, Richard Carcone, and Joshua Carcone, all of Utica; a sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Don Gerling, of Boonville; aunt and uncle, Lynn and Marty Lyden, of Renssalaer; father-in-law, Thomas Carcone, of Utica; in-laws, Katherine and David Buffa, of Utica, Thomas and Gina Carcone, of Marcy, Frank and Donna Carcone, of Frankfort, and Theresa Carcone, of Utica; nephews, John Lyden, of Renssalaer, Nicholas and Benjamin Gerling, of Boonville, and Nicholas Carcone, of Marcy. Rick was predeceased by his mother, Joyce (Cryan) Carroll; his stepfather, Jerry Carroll; and his mother-in-law, Carmella (Dare) Carcone. His funeral was held privately at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home, Utica.
