Richard J. Pritchard Sr., 82, passed away with his loving wife by his side, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at his home.
Dick was born in Herkimer, February 22, 1939, a son of the late John and Angelina (Wolney) Pritchard. He was educated in Poland schools. Dick served in the US Marine Corp from 1956 to 1959, stationed in Lebanon, Spain, and Italy. On June 8, 1968, he was married to the former Drinda Delaney. They devoted themselves to each other and their family for over fifty-three years. Dick was employed as a painter, at Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center, until his retirement.
Dick loved hunting, fishing, and boxing, was an avid Yankee fan, and enjoyed working on the Roy family farms. He was a former Commissioner and honorary member of the Clark Mills Fire Dept., and also a member of the American Legion Post 26.
Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Drinda; daughters and sons, Jamie and Howard Madden, James and Donna Armstrong, Melissa and Daniel Roy, and Richard Pritchard Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffany, Timothy, Alexandra, Ariele, Morgan, Mariah, Angus, Jordan, Devon, and Alivia; great grandchildren, Tessa and Owen; sister, Vanessa; and brother, David and Marcia; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Shane Armstrong; grandson, Daniel Roy Jr.; brother, Jack Pritchard; and sister, Gwen Marco.
Dick’s funeral services were held privately.
