Sandra Ann (Yacco) Sageer, 74, of Holland Patent, passed away at her home, with her loved ones by her side, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Sandra was born in Utica, June 5, 1951, a daughter of the late Samuel and Grace (Piccolo) Yacco. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of TR Proctor High School. On August 1, 1982, Sandra was joined in marriage to George Sageer. George and Sandy have enjoyed forty-three loving years of marriage. She was employed as a Senior Pension Evaluator, at the Teamsters Union, for many years.
Sandy was a true homebody, who loved to cook and bake for her adored children, and grandchildren, as well as the whole family. She had a big and giving heart, which is probably one of the reasons she loved watching the Hallmark Channel. Throughout her illness, she fought courageously, never lost faith, and her spirit will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her beloved husband, George; her children, Allen Clarke, and Joseph and Melissa Sageer; adored grandchildren, Amanda, Gabriel, and Paige; her great grandson, Giancarlo Gabriel; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Selma and Anthony Fumarola; nieces and nephews, Godchild Santo Sageer, Mary Fumarola, Anthony and Kate Fumarola, and Allie and Kyle Florczyk; great nieces and great nephews, Gracie, Vincenzo, Marcello, Eli, Ophelia, Bo, and Cash; and a very special and close friend, Regina Vinson, who was always there for her through the years.
She was predeceased by her father and stepmother, Sam and Artha Yacco; mother, Grace; in-laws, Joseph and Dorothy Sageer; sister, Ann Shirley Yacco; sister-in-law, Mary Kamaley Sageer; and brother-in-law, James “Jimmy” Sageer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Divine Liturgy of the Faithful Departed funeral mass, at St. Louis Gonzaga church, offered by Abouna Boutros El Hachem, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1 pm. The family will receive visitors following mass.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice & Palliative Care, especially, Stacy, Amanda, Jennifer, Julie, Matthew, Sarah, Wally, and the entire staff, for the care and compassion shown to Sandra throughout her long illness. In recognition of this fine organization, please consider donations in her memory to Hospice and Palliative Care at hospicecareinc.org
