For 3 years, he was a relocation supervisor for the Utica Urban Renewal Agency and later spent 20 years with sales and marketing for the St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. Following retirement, he worked part time as a Senior Coordinator for Working Solutions. Always very civic minded, Steve was a strong republican and was appointed by Mayor Frank Dulan and served several years as Commissioner of Parks & Recreation in the City of Utica. He is best known as being a 32 year Oneida County Legislator and will always be remembered for trying to help anyone he could. He was a firm believer in consolidation of services in government. Steve was a member and past president of the Utica Kiwanis; a member of the Knights of Columbus, since 1957; former member of the Sons of Italy; member of the Oneida County Historical Society, the Utica Public Library, Engine 11, and the Comity Club; a Board Director of the Cosmopolitan Center, the Insight House, and the Central New York Labor Agency; as well as a member of the Oneida County Republican Committee and the Oneida County Youth Advisory Board.
