Steven Michael Schram, age 51, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Katherine Luther Residential Care and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. Steven was born in New Hartford on January 10, 1965, a son of Robert D. Schram and the late Marilyn H. (Harmatiuk) Schram Whipple. Steven lived with his mother, Marilyn, who cared for him until he became part of the Upstate Cerebral Palsy family in 1992, where he resided in several ICF's until becoming a part of the D'Amico ICF. His beloved mother passed away in February of 2015. An avid Yankees fan, Steven also loved watching wrestling, listening to country music, and watching the Three Stooges. He is survived by his siblings, Robert Schram of Utica, Sandy and Wayne Dechene of New Hartford, Chris Schram of Rome, and Dawn & Mike Kosowski of New Hartford; four nephews, Christopher, Mathieu, Wyatt, and Ethan; an aunt and uncle, Sharon and Ed Broton of Liverpool; and his family at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, especially at the D'Amico ICF. His funeral was held privately with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton. Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home, Utica.
