Todd C. "Bob" Roberts, 51, passed away unexpectedly, with his loved ones by his side, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Todd was born in Utica, NY, September 18, 1970, a son of Linda (Dudek) Roberts and the late Wayne A. Roberts (his dad passed on Monday 9/27/21). He attended Whitesboro schools and graduated from its High School in 1989. On September 14, 1996, Todd married the love of his life, Jennifer. Jenn and Todd were inseparable since the age of 15 when life was full of big hair, braces, and cabin parties. They created a life together that many hope for. Todd and Jenn have shared twenty-five very loving years of marriage, living and raising their children in Marcy.
As a young man, Todd began work in the insurance industry and held positions with Combined Life Insurance Co. and Prudential Insurance Co. Since 2004, he has owned and operated Todd C. Roberts & Associates, Inc., in Sherrill, a property and casualty insurance company.
All those who knew Todd knew that he was larger than life, lived every moment to the fullest and maybe even the extreme. He never let an opportunity for adventure pass him by. Todd was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys Fan that would spend hours at 12 North Sports Bar yelling at the Cowboys, the referees, and anyone else that would listen! He loved his music; he’d jump in a car with his buddies to attend a Rock & Roll concert with a 5-minute notice and his campfires revolved around him singing all the lyrics to his 80’s playlist.
Todd’s most precious moments were spent with his children. He was their biggest supporter and loved them more than anything. Hockey, horseback riding, cheer leading, homework, painting his daughter’s shop, whatever they needed he was their go-to, their dad, their person. Todd will be remembered for his smile, contagious laughter, and endless jokes.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by so many, as he befriended everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jenn: children, Bailey Antonia and her partner, Danny Brindisi, Jenna Isabella and Jacob Gaetano, all of Marcy; his mom, Linda Roberts, of Utica; a brother, Lance W. Roberts, of Deerfield; a sister, Robyn Renay Roberts-Grant and her wife, Aisha Roberts-Grant, of Webster, NY; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Guy and Mary Gazzilli, of FL; aunts and uncles, John Mazurowski and Tom Dudek, Eddie and Ginny Dudek, Beverly Frank, Jerry Gazzilli, Gene and Betsy Gengel, and David and Darlene Gengel; nieces and nephews, including, Kaela Redmond, Ciana Redmond and her partner, Andy Nguyen, Morgan and Justin Gerstner, Nicholas Roberts and Sydney and Nazier; great nieces, great nephews, cousins, in-laws, Amy and Rick Redmond; and many special friends, including, Ray Romanus and Kelley, Jeff Sergott and Desiree, Jackie and Dave Cahill, Kim and Paul Rizutto, Danielle and Adam Bridenbecker, Mark Liberatore, Dave and Heidi Plumb, Sam Tornatore, Chet and Karen Malcolm; and his French Creek, 12 North, Deerfield Boys and Hockey families, along with all the kids that called him “Bob”.
